The love of God has forever saved my life,
Once filled with anger, and so much strife.
No matter how far and deep I fell,
His love and grace saved me from the pits of hell.

He threw a ladder down for me, and I started to climb,
Building my character up one day at a time.
He stands by my side the entire way,
His love and grace keep me from disarray.

I am a sinner with oh so many faults,
But His love surrounds me and keeps me from my doubts.
He shows me mercy I do not deserve,
His love a reminder of what I have not earned.

He journeyed through darkness to find and save me,
My light when I fall to my knees in plea.
Through His grace, mercy, and love,
He has set me free from all above
